After my glory cross-country running days in high school, I neglected my love for running, however this year I decided to run again, and what better way than by running my first ever half marathon! What makes it even better now is that I'll be running to support literacy. Getting kids motivated to find their love for reading and writing is very important to me both personally and professionally. I hope that with your help through donation, I can accomplish my running mission! :)
Despues de mi tiempo como corredora en el equipo de Cross-Country en la high school, Yo detuve mi amor por el deporte, y ya a sido suficiente. Asi que este año yo volvere a correr otra vez, y que mejor manera para empezar de nuevo que corriendo un medio maratón. (Que de echo es mi primera vez). Pero ahora mi motivacion mas grande es que estare corriendo para apoyar la importancia de la literatura. Hacer que los niños se motiven a leer y escibir me llena de alegria y me apasiona. Es por eso que estare recaudando fondos para esta buena causa. Por favor ayundeme a alcanzar mi meta y mi mission con sus donaciones, todo poquito vale !Gracias!
About Team Bookin' It (TBI)!
Open Books' annual fundraiser Team Bookin' It, brings together runners and virtual runners in support of literacy. TBI is part of the Humana Rock 'n' Roll Chicago Half Marathon, July 20-21. The race includes a 5k on Saturday, July 20 and a 10k and Half Marathon on Sunday, July 21. The race takes place at Grant Park.
If you're not into running, you can still be part of the TBI team! Sign up as a virtual runner, and let your fundraising creativity shine! Proceeds from TBI support Open Books' literacy and book granting programs.
