Open Books is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit literacy organization. No goods or services will be exchanged for your contribution, which is tax-exempt under federal law and IRS guidelines.
Open Books' Commitment to Our Donors
In general, information concerning donors or prospective donors shall be kept confidential by Open Books and its authorized personnel. Donor names and giving levels will be published in the our publication for recognition purposes, unless the donor requests anonymity pursuant to procedures for which the organization offers.
We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by Open Books, both online and offline, on the Open Books' website, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
